BRUNSWICK, GA- Columbia College Softball hit the road on Tuesday afternoon to take on NAIA College of Coastal Georgia in mid-week non-conference action.
The Koalas returned home dropping both contests, 4-0 and 2-0, falling to 3-5 overall on the young season.
BY THE NUMBERS:
Meghan Dennis went the distance in the first game, allowing four runs on 11 hits in six innings of work. She struck out two batters but fell to 2-1 on the season. I hope Azurdia recorded the Koalas' lone hit of the game, a double, but she was stranded on base after that. Three Koalas recorded a sacrifice at bat.
The Koalas faired much better in game two, recording five hits, but they still failed to plate a base runner. Kylie Smith took the loss in game two, going six innings; she allowed two runs on seven hits and struck out one batter. Ruthie Roman and Chasee Townsend each recorded a stolen base.
Columbia will welcome Allen to the Sutton Softball Complex on Thursday for more mid-week doubleheader action.
