Softball's Sharp Named Second Team All-Conference

AAC Softball Awards Announced

KINGSPORT, TN - The Appalachian Athletic Conference has announced the 2024 Softball All-AAC Team Awards on Tuesday evening.

The awards were voted on and selected by the softball coaches of the AAC.

Columbia College's senior 3B Aislyn Sharp was named to the All-AAC second team for her terrific season. Sharp hit .362 on the year in 44 games with 6 home runs and 24 RBIs and a team-best 51 hits and 34 runs scored. She also had a team-high 15 doubles and one triple along with stealing 8 bases and drawing 14 walks.

Sharp will now lead the Lady Koalas, 24-20 overall and 16-12 in AAC, into the conference tournament first round as the #6 seed when they take on 3rd seed Tennessee Wesleyan on Tuesday evening at 9 PM from Kingsport, TN.

Unfortunately, TWU got the best of the Koalas winning 8-0 knocking CC into the consolation round. Columbia will now face #7 seed Union College on Wednesday afternoon at 1 PM.
