Koalas Put 21 on AAC Spring All-Academic Teams led by 13 Softball Players

The Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) announced the All-Academic and Champions of Character Teams for the Spring sports on Thursday, June 6.

Five Columbia College student-athletes were named to the Champions of Character Team, while 21 Koalas landed on the All-Academic Teams.

Athletes named to the Champions of Character Team are those who best exemplify the five core values of the NAIA Championships of Character program - integrity, respect, responsibility, sportsmanship, and servant leadership.

To qualify for the All-Academic Team, a student-athlete must be a sophomore, junior, senior, or graduate student with a cumulative grade-point average of 3.25 or higher.

Here are Columbia's AAC All-Academic Team Members 

Men's Golf: Brandon Griffin

Men's Tennis: Liam Barry, Waldo Bosch, Tiaan Jacobs, and Ethan Poungthana

Women's Tennis: Helena Jokanovic, Mariane Lima, Joye Tate

SoftballHope Azurdia, Meghan Dennis, Brooklyn Franco, Kynsly Gehling, Autumn Hamilton, Amanda Lohrey, Malaurie Martin, Skyler Monson, Katie Poole, Ruthie Roman, Mary-Catherine Sanders, Kylie Smith, and  Bailey Strickland
