Koalas Slip to 1-1 in AAC Play

ATHENS, TN- Columbia College Women's Basketball hit the road for its first Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) contest on Saturday. The Koalas, despite winning the second half, fell just short of the Bulldogs, 75-70.

THE RECORDS:
Columbia now stands 2-1 overall and 1-1 in AAC play, with two conference matchups at home this week. The Bulldogs meanwhile improved to 2-1 overall and 1-1 in AAC action.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
The Bulldogs controlled the first half, winning the first quarter by three and the second by four to hold onto a seven-point lead after the first 20 minutes of action.

The second half saw the Koalas flip things to control the pace and score. Despite a furious fourth-quarter rally that saw the Koalas outscore the hosts 20-17, the Bulldogs escaped with victory.

Columbia will return to action on Tuesday at 5:30 PM when they welcome Johnson (TN) to the capital city.
