COLUMBIA, SC- Women's hoops returned to Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) action on Thursday after a non-conference and two exhibition games during the first half of the holiday break.
The Koalas (8-7, 5-5) welcomed Bryan (12-4, 6-1) to the Godbold Center for the season's second meeting, falling 81-65. The Lions took the first meeting 106-46 in their home gym.
QUICK HITS:
Anaya Muhammad paced the Koala offense with 13 points while De'Asia Feaster (12) and Tysonia Lowe (11) found a rhythm off the bench.
Columbia outscored Bryan 28-13 in the final ten minutes of play, but the Lions' thirty-point lead they established in the first 30 minutes was too much to overcome.
The Lions efficiently shot the ball, knocking in 35% of their three-point attempts and converting 19 of 22 free throws.
UP NEXT:
Columbia will return to action on Saturday for more AAC play when they welcome St. Andrews to town for a 2 p.m. start.
