Women's Soccer Ready-to-Roll into 2023

COLUMBIA, SC- Columbia College Women's Soccer officially opens the 2023 season tonight when they travel north to take on Carolina University.

The Koalas will do so with a fresh face minding the goal as last year's starter, Amorie Kostelak, graduated from the program. Head Coach Rob Hunter is still confident in his returners, though.

"We've got a large returning junior class with a lot of experience in important conference games; we'll count on them a lot this season."

Women's Soccer will open the season with four straight road contests before returning home to take on Pfeiffer in the home opener on September 13.

Those four road games will go a long way in helping the Koalas achieve their goals, including making the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Tournament while maintaining a team GPA of 3.5.

"I'm looking forward to another competitive season. We've got to continue qualifying for the AAC Tournament... our upperclassmen know what our goals are and will help guide the younger players. They'll play a huge role in continuing to build the program, just as we have over the last few seasons."
