Koala Women Win Third Straight Match

DAYTON, TN - The Columbia College women's soccer team shut out conference foe Bryan College (TN) 3-0 on Saturday morning to win their third straight match.

The Koalas were led by two goals from freshman midfielder Malia Kincaid and one goal from senior forward Jordan Myers in the victory that improved CC to 6-6 overall and 3-5 in the AAC.

Kincaid got Columbia on the board in the 19th minute of action scoring off an assist from freshman MF Madison Wells Bunting.  Then, in the second half, CC added their second goal of the match as Myers scored in the 62nd minute off an assist from senior defender Sammie McDaniel before Kincaid added her second of the game in the 74th minute with freshman Rachel Holden assisting.

The Lady Koalas were also led by sophomore goalkeeper Teagan Eisenring who recorded another shutout win making 7 saves on all 7 shots on goal. It was her third shutout of the season. CC outshot Bryan 11-9 in the first half as they led 1-0 at the break before also outshooting the Lions 8-4 in the second half. Kincaid led the team with 6 shots while Myers had four with three on goal.

The Koalas next return to action at home on Tuesday evening at 5:00 to face St. Andrews University.
