BLUEFIELD, Va. - The Columbia College women's soccer team rolled to a 6-1 win on the road Wednesday afternoon at Bluefield University (VA) to pick up their 6th consecutive victory.
The win improves the Koalas to 9-6 overall and 6-5 in the AAC.
Columbia used two goals from freshman forward Malia Kincaid while four other Koalas scored on the day as CC outshot BU 14-1 overall. Kincaid got the Koalas on the board in the 10th minute before senior forward Jordan Myers came back with her 8th goal of the season in the 14th minute. Freshman MF Madison Wells Bunting added the third goal of the half in the 23rd minute on an assist from fellow freshman Madison Dibert.
The second half saw the Koalas open the scoring again with Kincaid putting another in the net, her 12th of the season, in the 53rd minute off a Myers assist. CC made it 5-0 just six minutes later when senior MF Brooke Piscitello scored her first in the 59th minute off another assist from Dibert, her fifth. Columbia added their 6th and final goal in the 76th minute as sophomore midfielder Kendyl Moore also scored her first of the season off an assist from junior MF Harleigh Payne.
The women will now return home to host Brenau University (Ga.) on Senior Day this Saturday at 5:30 pm.
