Lady Koala Soccer falls to TWU in AAC Quarters

ATHENS, TN - The 7th seeded Columbia College Koalas fell 3-1 on the road at #2 TN Wesleyan on Saturday in the quarterfinals of the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Women's Soccer Tournament.

No. 7 Columbia grabbed the early advantage when freshman forward Malia Kincaid scored in the fourth minute. However, No. 2 Tennessee Wesleyan (13-1-2) pulled even in the 31st minute before breaking the deadlock immediately at the start of the second half in the 46th minute as Tennessee Wesleyan would go on to claim the 3-1 victory.

Goalkeeper Teagan Eisenring suffered the tough defeat making 4 saves on 7 shots on goal. Kincaid finished with 14 goals and 30 points on the season while Eisenring had nearly 70 saves, 5 shutouts and a 1.64 GAA.. The Koalas finish their season 11-8 with their most wins since the 2021 team had 12.
