Kincaid Named Freshman of the Year; Myers Makes 1st Team

WALESKA, Ga. - The Appalachian Athletic Conference announced the 2024 Women's Soccer All-AAC Team and Awards on Thursday.

Lady Koala leading scorer, freshman forward Malia Kincaid was named the Freshman of the Year while she and senior midfielder Jordan Myers were each named to the All-AAC Conference Teams. Myers was named to the First Team while Kincaid made the second team.

The awards were voted on and selected by the women's soccer coaches of the AAC.

Kincaid finished fourth in the conference in goals (14) and fifth in points (30) while leading CC in both categories. First teamer Myers then posted nine goals and 10 assists on the season for 28 points.

Fourteen players earned a spot on the All-AAC First Team with 14 making the second team. Dozens of players made the grade to earn a spot on the All-Academic Team, while 11 were named to the Champions of Character Team.

Senior Kaylee Barnes was named to the Champions of Character Team while 13 Lady Koalas were named to the All-Academic Team. They include Barnes, Alyssa Collins, sophomore Kinzly Cohen, senior Kianna Dodge, sophomore Teagan Eisenring, junior Reagan Gibbs, senior Isabella Gurrieri, senior Breanna Hilton, senior Sammie McDaniel, junior Kathryn Mobley, Myers, senior Tianna Roberts, and senior Kylie Stewart.
