Lady Koala Tennis Dominate JWU

COLUMBIA, S.C. - The Columbia College women's tennis team dominated Johnson & Wales University 5-2 to pick up a win on Senior Day Saturday from Columbia. 

The women improve to 6-12 with the win as they were led by senior Mariane Lima and her dominate 6-0, 6-0 double bagel win at the #2 singles. "We had two great wins on senior day," commented coach Mark Carnes. "Owen Brumfield clinched the match on the men's side while the Women dominated their match. Very proud of them."

Lima also teamed with junior Helena Jokanovic to shutout JWU 6-0 at the top doubles line while Helena won her singles match 6-0, 6-1. Aniya Sims and Joye Tate won their singles matches at the 3 and 5 spots while Sims teamed with Vienne Geren to win 6-1 at the 2 spot of doubles as well.
