Volleyball Slips at Brewton-Parker

MOUNT VERNON, GA- Columbia College Volleyball suffered its first loss of the season on Tuesday night, dropping three of four sets on the road at Brewton-Parker.

The Koalas, now 1-1 on the season, won the first set but ultimately fell by scores of 25-21, 26-28, 17-25, 16-25.

Gracie Hicklin led the way with a match-high 12 kills, while Debra Shephard posted nine assists and five digs. Leticia Assen was all over the floor on defense for the Koalas with a team-high seven digs. The hosts were paced by Kathy Mathis and Abigail Snyder, who recorded 25 total assists.

The Koalas will host cross-town rival CIU on Thursday for the home opener at 6:30 PM; the athletics department will sell tickets at the door for $5.
