Koalas Outmatched by Eagles

COLUMBIA, SC- After a six-day hiatus, Columbia College Volleyball returned to action, welcoming Reinhardt to town. The Eagles emerged victorious in straight sets by scores of 25-16, 25-13, 25-18.

THE BASICS:

Reinhardt, currently second in the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) standings, now owns an overall record of 16-3 and an 8-2 mark in AAC play. The Koalas, meanwhile, dropped their 10th consecutive AAC game and now stand at 2-13 overall.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

Reinhardt came into the game with the larger roster and used the numbers advantage to keep their legs fresh. The Eagles only let the Koalas feel like they were in it in the third set.

In the night's final set, Columbia kept things close, tying the set twice at 14-14 and 16-16, but the Eagles ultimately pulled away.

The Koalas return to action tomorrow morning to take on Truett-McConnell at 11 a.m.
