Koalas Fall to Knights for Second Time This Season

Laurinburg, NC- Columbia College Volleyball hit the road for more Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) play on Tuesday afternoon.

The Koalas fell behind early but battled back to take the third set; however, St. Andrews ultimately won, 3-1, in the two schools' second meeting of the year.

THE BASICS:

St. Andrews improved to 6-12 overall and 4-9 in AAC play. The Koalas are still searching for their first conference win of the season.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

The Koalas pulled within four late in the first set, 18-22, but the Knights closed the opener out on a 3-2 run to go ahead early. The second set was all Knights as they started on a 7-0 run and eventually went on to win 25-8.

In the third set, the Koalas held off a late rally by the hosts to win, 26-24. But the Knights then got back in their groove and controlled the fourth and final set for their fourth AAC win of the year.

Columbia will return to action on Friday when they travel to Bryan (TN) for a 6:30 p.m. start.
