Koalas Sweep on Senior Night

COLUMBIA, SC- On a night where the energy could be felt in Porter Gym, Columbia College Volleyball earned its first Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) win in straight sets, 25-16, 25-12, 25-16.

The sweep over the Knights was the appetizer for the main course, senior night, where the Koalas celebrated the duo of Nya Grey and Hali Doctor.

The duo helped propel the Koala offense as they combined for 20 kills, ten each; Grey also recorded the final kill of the night to secure the win in the third set. The third head of the monster tonight came in the form of Freshman standout Debra Shephard. The first-year setter dished out 20 assists in the win.

Columbia will wrap up the 2023-24 season tomorrow morning at home when they take on Bluefield at 11 a.m.
